India's textiles department, a senior official said, India technical textile consumption is one 5 of the total consumption in Asia. However, Asian consumption is nearly twice as much in Europe and North America.

 

India's textile minister Zohra Chatterji, says ms India technical textiles industry employs about 800000 people, 55% of the jobs require skilled human resources.

 

She added, "as the government plans to implement, standardization and appropriate laws and regulations, technical textiles industry average annual growth rate is expected to 20%."

 

Nonwoven textile production, she added, "India is only 3% of Asian production. In order to promote the growth of new technology of textile industry, the government has laid out plans, such as textile technology, technology update fund plan, integrated textile park plan, as well as the comprehensive skills development plan.
